Mallorca (sometimes
spelt Majorca), is an Island off the southern coast of Spain, in
the warm Mediterranean Sea.
It is the largest island of
the group called the Balearics. The next door islands are Menorca, Ibiza (locally
known as Eivissa) and the smallest of the 4, Formentera.
Mallorca is perfectly placed in the centre of Balearics , allowing
easy reach to all the other Islands, which allows for amazing
Island-hop yachting holidays.
The capital city of Mallorca (and indeed the Balearics) is Palma,
(AKA Palma de Mallorca).
Official languages in the Balearic Islands are Catalan and Spanish,
but English and German are alos widely spoken to cater for the
islands' flourishing tourist industry.
